Runway began as a platform for creatives to use machine learning tools in an intuitive way, without requiring any coding experience, for media such as video, audio, and text. Runway's AI Magic Tools currently provides more than 30+ AI tools. On Runway, users can create and publish pre-trained machine learning models for applications such as generating realistic images or videos. Users can also train their own models and import new models directly from GitHub.

Runway has released its Gen-2 model, which allows users to generate video content from text, images and video clips.
