They want to make deep learning as easy as possible-for people who use less cool languages like C#, less cool operating systems like Windows (used by most people in the world), less cool datasets (much smaller than anything Google has, and in areas you would consider obscure), and less cool backgrounds (even if you didn't go to a top school like Stanford).
